He then joined the SBS
sport team. He reported on SBS's coverage of the FIFA Women's World Cup from China in September 2007.
In 2008 he returned to Seven from SBS to present Sydney Weekender

He quit television in 2009 to start operating a restaurant business in southern Sydney.
Anthony has covered some of the biggest events in Australian sports, but claims soccer and cricket

Peridis is an avid runner and was due to compete in the New York Marathon on 1 November 2009. He was also expected to race in the New Zealand Ironman on 6 March 2010.
He is a member of the Cronulla Seagulls Football Club and the North Cronulla Surf Lifesaving Club.
