Anthony "Sonny" Ciccone (b. July 19, 1934) is a New York
mobster and a captain of the Gambino crime family

Anthony was born to Sebastian and Gelsamina Piccolla from Pacentro
, Italy
. He was one of three brothers including Joseph and Salvatore, and two sisters, Anna and Margaret. He is the brother-in-law of mobster Anthony Castaldi. Through this marriage he is also a son-in-law of mobster Renosi and uncle to William and Andrew Renosi. He is the son-in-law to Philomena DiLorenzao and Andrew Castaldi and brother-in-law to John N., Lewis, James, Samuel, Lillie, Sadie and Rose Castaldi. In 2002, Ciccone and Gambino crime family boss Peter Gotti
were indicted on charges of exerting illegal control over the New York City

money from the water terminal businesses and other charges including loan-sharking, illegal gambling and union corruption. Ciccone was also accused of trying to extort martial-arts movie star Steven Seagal
to pay $3 million to resolve a dispute with his producer, Julius R. Nasso. Before his incarceration he lived in Springfield, New York
for a short period of time.
In March 2003, Ciccone was convicted of charges of extortion.
As of October 2011, Ciccone is serving his sentence at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Fort Dix, New Jersey
