. Started in 2005 by two parish priests, David A. Harris and C. Peter Molloy. TAP is already the largest independent Anglican newspaper in Canada. Although primarily a news journal, it also seeks to serve the Anglican Church of Canada as a source of intellectual, biblical and spiritual renewal. It also features theological and devotional writings from prominent Anglicans around the world.

Although intended for a Canadian Anglican audience, due to the contribution of leading theologians and insightful commentary, TAP's website is visited by people crossing denominational lines.

The Anglican Planet is not an official journal of any single organization or ecclesiastical body within the Anglican Communion
