Aledo ISD Police Department was the first school district police department in Parker County, Texas and its central police offices are located at 117 Vernon Road, Aledo, Texas.

As with any Texas ISD Police Agency the Police Officers have jurisdiction within the school district

boundaries and in any county within the State of Texas in which the Aledo ISD School District has property that is owned, leased, rented, or otherwise under the control of the institution.

The current Chief of Police is Chawn Gilliland who has served as chief from 2002 – Present. Chief Gilliland formerly served as an Investigator for the Parker County Prosecutor’s Office and with Parker County Sheriff’s Office in many different enforcement and administrative rolls.
