Hudson Oaks has been the site of two similar but unrelated family murder-suicides.

On May 29, 2007, Gilberta Estrada (age 25) and her four daughters Maria Teresa Estrada, Janet Frayre, Magaly Frayre and Evelyn Frayre (ages 5 years, 3 years, 2 years, and 8 months) were found hanging in a closet in their mobile home.
