In the first part of the 2008 campaign, Alanzinho was linked with other clubs throughout the European continent, with his contract ending after the 2008 season. However, on May 15, 2008, Alanzinho penned a three year deal ending speculations about his future.

 on the 28 January 2009, his transfer fee is reported to be around € 4 million and his contract lasts for 3 and a half years until the summer of 2012.

He scored his first goal against Galatasaray with a great shoot technique. Then he scored another sensational goal against Kocaelispor and gained many fans especially because of his fast skills and marvelleous abilities.
