Writing Style

Adam Maxwell's subject matter tends towards the surreal or at the very least weird. His work is often peppered with references to popular culture and he tends towards finding humor in strange places. Maxwell adopts a relatively minimalist approach to writing which is often echoed in the length of his stories. His longer works tend to use this brevity to drive the story forward with a frenetic pace. His writing style is hard to pinpoint and as a result has been published in a plethora of publications and genres including fiction, semi-fiction, non-fiction and working with illustrators on children’s stories to name but a few.
