. He has a background in boxing, wrestling and kickboxing.
He is a very active fighter who fought eight times in 2010 and has won his last six fights. In June 2011 it was announced that Kwon had signed a multi fight deal with Road FC.

MMA career
Kwon first made a name for himself by appearing on the second season of Korean MMA reality show "Super Korean." He is also a veteran of K-1 Heroes, Sengoku, Neofight, Legend FC and Spirit MC and was Heat FC welterweight champion before deciding to drop down to the lightweight division. He started his MMA career as a brawler, notorious for swarming his opponents with his aggressive and sometimes reckless style, which he once described as "knock-out or get knocked-out." Since then, he has evolved into a much more technical striker, known for his crisp, accurate punching and effective counter-striking.He is a very active fighter who fought eight times in 2010 and has won his last six fights.
