, Italy
, and also provides a portion of the surface transit service in surrounding municipalities. Underground and non-surface modes of public transit, such as metro

ANM was formed on 1 July 1995 through a reorganization of its predecessor, the Azienda Tranvie Autofilovie Napoli (ATAN) (English: Naples Tramway-Bus-Trolleybus Company), which was also a municipal authority. ANM became a joint-stock company (SpA in Italian) on 30 March 2001.
The company operates three tram

, another municipally owned company and operator of the Naples Metro.
ANM provides some bus service to areas outside the city of Naples proper (Comune
di Napoli), but most suburban bus service is provided by other companies, mainly CTP, which is half-owned by the city of Naples and half by the Province of Naples
.
ANM's service includes both express and local bus service connecting Naples' main airport, Capodichino Airport
, with the city center and Napoli Centrale railway station
