History
The company, originally incorporated as Vectorlink was founded in 1996 by Roderick "Rod" Fan, an industry expert in the development of GPS technology. The initial business centered on the development of GPS chips. Company engineers combined early prototypes together with a CDPD radio to allow tracking of vehicles over the Internet.
