. Members of the battalion have voluntarily participated in various deployments abroad, incorporated into other units (light infantry). The unit's headquarters incorporate a shooting range and various other training facilities, as well as an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

The 528th Reconnaissance Battalion used to be the main reconnaissance unit of the former 67th Mechanised Division (disbanded in the early 1990s).
