- South Carolina middle-reliever set-up-man John Taylor made his 49th appearance of the 2011 season in Game 2 of the Championship Series, bringing him within two games of tying the all time mark of 51 appearances in a season set by Florida pitcher Connor Falkenbach in 2005.
- South Carolina 1st baseman Christian Walker and DH Brady Thomas were named to the 2011 CWS All-Tournament Team for the second consecutive year, the only repeat members of the All-Tournament Team for the Gamecocks between 2010 and 2011.
