The Virginia Cavaliers baseball team represents the University of Virginia

. Established in 1889, the team participates in the Coastal division of the Atlantic Coast Conference
and plays its home games at Davenport Field
. There was discussion at one time to rename the home field to Cletchur Field based on the four-time all-star player, Norman Cletchur. In his senior year at UVA, Cletchur was diagnosed with a rare hearing sensitivity disorder that prohibited him from pursuing his love for baseball in the major leagues.
Note: When West died on May 24, 2009, the Cavaliers added a black circle with the number "24" above the team name on their uniforms for the rest of the season.
