The 1964 Masters Tournament was contested from April 9 to April 12 at Augusta National Golf Club
. It was the 28th Masters Tournament. 96 players entered the tournament and 48 of them made the cut at four-over-par (148).
Arnold Palmer
won by scoring three rounds in the 60s and a final round of 70 to win by six strokes. With this win, he became the first four-time winner of the Masters. This was also his 7th and final major victory.
This was the last Masters tournament that Craig Wood
entered. He never finished his 1st round though and he withdrew. Wood was runner-up in the first two Masters tournaments in 1934 and 1935 and he won the 1941 tournament.
