. It was founded in 1965 by the veterans of Lithuanian ballroom dance
Skaistė Idzelevičienė and Romaldas Idzelevičius.
During 1995-2006 it was in the top 3 places in European and World Latin
formation championships, taking world first places in 2002-2005. Besides competitions, the team gives concerts in many European countries.

Žuvėdra won the fourth consecutive European title leaving their perpetual rivals, German Grün-Gold-Club e.V. Bremen and TSG Bremerhaven e. V., behind.
