Yves Daccord is the Director-General of the International Committee of the Red Cross

He joined the ICRC in 1992. In 1997, he became deputy head of the Division for the Promotion of International Humanitarian Law. In 1998 he became head of the Communication Division, in 2002 director of Communication. He was named director-general effective July 1, 2010.
He is married, and has three children.
