History
The school was built in 1977 and was built mainly to allow disabled children on the island attend school. The school currently offers several different courses for those with disabilities.The school today
There are many levels of Welsh-speaking ability at the school and pupils have the choice of studying a subject through the medium of English or Welsh. This is one of the few truly bilingual schools in Wales. Nearly all pupils must study at least 2 subjects in English and two in Welsh as well as English and Welsh as individual subjects at GCSE. This follows the school motto "Hau i Fedi" - You reap what you sow.Contrary to the local myth, there is no entrance exam in Welsh for the school.
