Yong Pil Rhee was president of the Korean Society for Systems Science Research, and president of the International Society for the Systems Sciences
in 1996, and president of the International Federation for Systems Research
(IFSR) from 2000 until 2002. He was a member of the editorial board of the journal Systems Research and Behavioral Science
