at Harvard University
. Lin has written many research papers about statistical genetics, linear mixed models, bias correction, and other topics. She received the COPSS Presidents' Award
in 2006.
Lin was elected a fellow of the American Statistical Association
in 2000 and of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics
in 2007, and is a founding co-editor of the journal Statistics in BioSciences.
Lin received her B.Sc. from Tsinghua University
in 1989 and her Ph.D. in statistics from the University of Washington
in 1994, where her supervisor was Norman Breslow
