 industrial site. It is owned by NWN Media and has a wide circulation. The paper has lent its name to a variety of campaigns and has given continual support to Wrexham F.C..

On weekends, the Wrexham Leader is produced, which is a free edition, but it heavily laden with advertisements and commercials for local businesses.

On 3 April 2006, the Leader underwent a style change, and changed its logo to a new, more modern style. The old font and style had been used since the newspaper began.

Yearly, a directory of local businesses is given out (around early April), called the Handy Pages.

From 14 September 2009, the paper shifted from being an evening paper called 'The Evening Leader' to a morning paper entitled 'The Leader'.
