 from 1968 to 1972. The main campus was built in 1995 at 255 Red Gate Road with a capacity of 1300 students. In 2001, Wredling Middle School moved to 1200 Dunham Road, where it is located today. The original campus on Red Gate was converted and expanded into the St. Charles North High School

The elementary schools that feed into Wredling Middle School are Davis,Anderson, Fox Ridge, Munhall, Lincoln, and Norton Creek. Also included is a small amount of minorities of students from Davis and Richmond.

 campus was shut down for the 2001–2002 school year due to health concerns (mold), the East students took classes on the adjacent Wredling Middle School campus and mobile classrooms were brought in to accommodate the larger student body. Meanwhile, the Wredling students were relocated to a mobile classroom campus situated between the Thompson and Haines Middle School campuses across town. All classes resumed at their normal locations the following school year.

In 2007 and 2008, the Wredling boys 8th grade football team won the Haines Championship with 9-3 and 10-1 records. The teams also won the Fox, a trophy given to the St.Charles middle school football team with the best record.

In 2009 and 2010, the Wredling girls basketball "B" team won the Two Rivers Tournament Championship two consecutive years in a row. The team had an 18-2 record as seventh graders and went undefeated 20-0 in their eighth grade season. Congratulations to these Girly Red Hawks.

"Summary Frames: Language Acquisition for Special Education and ELL Students", an article by Wredling Middle School 8th grade social studies teacher Alicia Honnert, was published in the Summer 2005 issue of Science Activities magazine.

Alice Nelson, a counselor at Wredling, was named the R.B. Mades Associate Educator of the Year in April 2004 as part of the 29th annual Educator of the Year Awards that are presented by the Kane County Regional Office of Education. Nelson is credited with helping to start the Teachers Encouraging Kids (TEK) program while working at Haines Middle School. Through TEK, teachers spend extra time with students out of school to support and encourage them. Nelson later also developed the student ambassador program as an extension of TEK.

The 7th grade band in Wredling in 2011 also went and helped the food drive at Jewel Osco and was televised by FOX.
