The World Eight-ball Pool Federation is an international pool
governing body overseeing international tournaments and rankings (sometimes called, as evidenced by the organisation name, eight-ball, which is ambiguous, as that term more globally applies to the related American-style game). As such, the WEPF competes for authority and membership with the World Pool-Billiard Association
(WPA), which produces its own differing blackball rules and tournaments.
