History

VOOM HD Movies launched in 2004 as 'World Cinema HD' and featured films from around the world.

In May 2008, World Cinema HD was re-branded as VOOM HD Movies. In addition, the programming was changed as the channel no longer features films from around the world but now broadcasts Hollywood blockbusters.It was the only Voom HD Network to ever be rebranded.

The channel ceased operations on January 20, 2009.
