Wilson's focus is on student achievement, student attendance and strong parent and community involvement. Wilson was recognized by the School Board in 1999 for outstanding parent involvement and the increased High School graduation rate.
Daffodil Festival. A competition is held in house to select the Wilson Princess, who goes on to compete against other regional schools, for the Daffodil Festival Queen title. The Queen title is considered the highest honor of the regional festival. The Wilson band accompanies the float of Wilson princesses every year in the parade, held annually in April.
