Cooper is now understood to be a serving member of the Royal Navy.
The WNP was severely weakened in 2004 by the breaking away of the England First Party

refused to register WNP as an official name ; but after a dispute between Cotterill on the one side and Eddy Morrison
and John G. Wood (the WNP's national organiser) on the other the EFP group broke away to become a separate, English nationalist, party.

, although he refused to join as he did not feel that divisions were helpful. Eventually Eddy Morrison left the party and with John G. Wood and Kevin Watmough would in 2005 form the similar British People's Party
