History

The shopping centre was known as the "Great Western" shopping centre and "Marketown" in the 1970s and 1980s, respectively. Westfield purchased the centre in 1992, renaming it Westfield Mount Druitt in the process.

The centre has been expanded multiple times in its life, most notably in 2005 which demolished the Grace Bros. store which was replaced with a Coles supermarket among other specialty stores. Along with Westfield North Rocks
