A decade after the New York Times 1997 article, Wesley Hills retains it's upscale, upstate, "foothills of the mountains" ambiance but has integrated itself seamlessly with Monsey NY, its predominantly Orthodox Jewish neighbor on its northern border. While no official count is available, about half of this community attends one of the ten or more Orthodox Jewish synagogues in the area.
