Although it had a good start from the beginning thanks in part to promos attacking both stations, WMIB's ratings began to decline as its listeners began returning to WPOW and WEDR (after they began to increase the Hip-Hop content).

On October 5, 2006, WMIB modified its Urban format to Urban AC, going head-to-head with market leader WHQT
