Vuyisile "The Cheetah" Colossa (born 28 June 1982) is a South Africa
n middleweight
kickboxer, Muay Thai
fighter and mixed martial artist. He represents Team Colossa and is currently residing in Hong Kong.
In 1998, aged 15, he started participating in kickboxing, and this new and exciting sport brought out the champion in Vuyisile. He was awarded 3rd place in the Free State championships and was included in the South Africa 1st team. He won a bronze medal in the SA Fighting Championships.
In 1999, he won the BIG Five Championships and came 2nd in the Free State Championships. He achieved 2nd place in the 2000 SA championship. In 2001, he came third at SA trails in Pretoria and was awarded his national colors. He was chosen to represent South Africa in Vienna, Austria.
In 2002, Vuyisile received the Premier’s Youth Award in Bloemfontein. He was honored by the department of Sport, Arts, Culture, Science and Technology for his exceptional achievement in the field of sport. In the same year, he turned professional, winning his first two titles: the South African Full Contact Kick Boxing Title and the Ring Contact Fighting Art International Welter Weight Kickboxing Champion Title.
In 2003 he was crowned as the South African Professional Kick Boxing Council middleweight champion, Thai Boxing Champion as well as the runner-up for W.A.K.O Pro World Title. In December that year he attained his 1st Degree black belt in Ring Contact Fighting Art. Furthermore, in 2006, he was the runner-up of the King of the Ring World Title, then going on to make his debut in the K-1 Fighting Network Arena.
Since living in Hong Kong, Colossa has competed at the Kings Cup (Super 8 Tournament)

Biography and career
In 1996, he started his high school career at Leseding Technical School, where he was chosen for the 1st team baseball and cricket teams as well as the 2nd basketball team. In addition, he was also a reserve for the 2nd rugby team. In 1997, Vuyisile went to THS Welkom and was chosen for the 1st hockey team and he was also a member of the athletics team and reserve for 3rd rugby team.In 1998, aged 15, he started participating in kickboxing, and this new and exciting sport brought out the champion in Vuyisile.
