History

vVv Gaming was founded in 2007 by Jerry “LordJerith” Prochazka. The organization began competing when it fielded its first Gears of War team: vVv Vision, which placed 1st at the Meadowlands

In 2008, the Gears of War teams continued to place successfully on the MLG circuit, and vVv also opened a Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 division with vVv ReWritten, the only team to win back-to-back MLG events in Vegas 2. The year ended with several vVv teams finishing top ten at MLG Toronto

, including vVv Destiny which finished 9th. vVv Enmity, the captain of vVv Destiny, was named vVv Gaming's North American Player of the Year in 2008.

In 2009, the competitive circuit replaced Gears of War with the sequel: Gears of War 2

. vVv Destiny transitioned to the new title and continued to compete, placing 7th in the first two events of the year, MLG Meadowlands and MLG Columbus

In January 2010 vVv began an e-sports podcast called “The Losers Bracket.” The podcast is hosted by members of vVv Gaming, and covers topics regarding competitive gaming and the gaming community.

In 2011 vVv created a new division which supports gamers with Disabilities. The division is run by one of the top disabled StarCraft 2 players in North America: vVv Spectral who is a paralyzed quadriplegic gamer.
