Visa requirements for Georgian citizens are administrative entry restrictions imposed on citizens of Georgia
by the authorities of other states.
Visa-free travel or visa on arrival is available for several destinations. It is estimated that as of April 2009, Georgian citizens are able to enter approximately 67 countries on Visa-free or Visa on Arrival option (IATA/Star Alliance Sourcehttp://www.staralliance.com/en/travellers/tools_services/health_visa_form.html).
Due to EU enlargement in 2004 - 2007 and because of European Union
common and uniform visa regulation policy, Georgian citizens lost visa free movement in new EU member states like Lithuania
, Latvia
, Czech Republic
, Poland
etc...(permitted up to 2003), Romania
and Bulgaria
(permitted up to 2006).
On 1 September 2008 Extraordinary European Council focused on Georgia
. The 27 member states of European Union
offered Georgia
