 memorial. It was started in 1996 by the veteran Alan Oskvarek who became disabled in the Vietnam War. It is now run by unpaid volunteers of the 4th Battalion 9th Infantry Regiment Manchu (Vietnam) Association on a not-for-profit bases, and is supported by voluntary contributions. It uses the U.S.A. government's official database. The website has a search facility for names on the granite panels on the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington DC, USA. In 2006 the website reported at total of over 65,000 remembrances and photographs.
