Playing career

Peretz was the leading scorer of the Israel national under-19 football team that competed at the 1972 AFC Youth Championship. His twelve goals gave him the golden boot title of the tournament.

During his playing career he won 40 caps for the national team, scoring 14 goals.

In 2006 he was appointed Assistant Manager at Maccabi Tel Aviv, but left the club in 2007.
