UNM-LA offers programs for both students wishing to transfer to four-year institutions and a variety of occupationally oriented programs. UNM-LA is especially well-known for its STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs. UNM-LA offers the only associate's degree in Computer Gaming in New Mexico. Other technical programs include Network Administration, Web Technologies, Digital Media Arts, Computer Science, Environmental Science, and Pre-Engineering. The Applied Technology program, which trains technicians, offers four concentrations: Solar Technology, Electro Mechanical Technology, Nano Technology and Manufacturing Technology.
