in Security Council Resolution 1500
on 14 August 2003.

who was killed in the Canal Hotel bombing
on 19 August 2003.
The current mandate was extended to 31 July 2011, under Resolution 1936
adopted on 5 August 2010. One of its tasks is to implement the International Compact with Iraq

was appointed on 14 July 2004 and retired on 18 September 2007.
