Historically, the football team has been average at best. The only sustained period of success occurred during the 2001-2003 seasons under the leadership of head coach David Riggs, and All-State wide receiver and cornerback Chris Mason, who went on to play football at Catawba College after setting the SPAA records for career touchdowns (43), interceptions (19) and career all-purpose yards with 8,751.
Recently, under Coach Shaun Wiseman, the Varsity Boys' basketball team
has excelled in the state. In 2008, the team finished runners up
in the state tournament. Coming back strong in the 2008-2009 season, the team won the NCISAA 1A State Championship
. Also in the 2008-2009 season, the Varsity Girls' basketball team was invited to the state tournament. This was the first time in United Faith's history that the girls' basketball team participated in a state tournament game. The Varsity
volleyball team has also participated in the state tournament for several years.
