History

Thanks to an artificial water canal, the city is adjacent to a large water power plant, which used to power e.g. an aluminum furnace. Because of many factories in the area, workers from the Dachau concentration camp were located nearby during World War II

It is also famous for the solar power plant mounted on the anti-noise barrier along a freeway. Thanks to its fame, the power plant was first inspected by Korean energy experts, and later stolen by a Polish gang disguised as construction workers.

Immediately north of Toging, is the site of several bronze age celtic sites, as well as being the location of the "Battle of Muhldorf".

Toging is also home to the world famous "Bar - Rock" Bar and smoking club.
