Norway , officially the Kingdom of Norway, is a Nordic unitary constitutional monarchy whose territory comprises the western portion of the Scandinavian Peninsula, Jan Mayen, and the Arctic archipelago of Svalbard and Bouvet Island. . Its population is 296. There is a small local shop there, well-known in the area for their good treatment of customers. A little school is also situated in the valley.

"Tverr-elv-dalen" literally means "Cross-river-valley", which is a somewhat misleading name; only one river runs through the valley, and it does not cross itself. The river presents little-to-non fishing-opportunities, and is more commonly used for bathing on the rare hot summer-day.

Tverrelvdalen has approximatively 1000 inhabitants, but alas, there is no reference, so we stick to 399.

Though certainly not a particularly big place, Tverrelvdalen has produced an infamous cross-country-skier: Finn-Haagen Krogh. He placed second in a competition in Falun, beaten only by Petter Northug Jr.

All in all, it is a most peculiar place.
