Truliant Federal Credit Union or Truliant was founded in 1952 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina

. First known as Radio Shops Credit Union, it later became known as AT&T Family Federal Credit Union. In 1999, it changed its name to Truliant Federal Credit Union to more accurately represent its broad-based membership. Truliant now serves over 180,000 member-owners from various communities, along with those from more than 850 businesses and organizations. Today Truliant has grown to 24 locations in North Carolina
