s in the Atlantic Ocean. As of August 15, 2009 it is the only name that has been used for six storms none of which reached hurricane strength (Arthur and Beryl stand at 5). There were several tropical cyclones with the similar name of Anna.
  • Tropical Storm Ana (1979), formed east of the Lesser Antilles, crossed Leeward Islands, caused no damage or casualties
  • Tropical Storm Ana (1985), rounded Bermuda, neared Newfoundland but dissipated before striking
  • Tropical Storm Ana (1991), travelled parallel to the East Coast of the United States, caused no damage or casualties
  • Tropical Storm Ana (1997), wobbled off the Carolinas, threatened no land
