 suburb of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Transcona Collegiate offers a full academic program for grades nine through twelve.

Transcona Collegiate was opened in 1961, and in the following year an additional six classrooms were added. During 1999/2000 a major addition of 16000 sq ft (1,486.4 m²) was added to Transcona Collegiate, extending out to the west and north, with major renovations and upgrades.

Transcona Collegiate houses approximately 650 students and 60 staff members.

Athletics

TCI has 2 division C championship in hockey (04/05)(07/08). The current coaches of the team are Jaret Valainis and Ian Trach. The Varsity Boys Basketball team won the 2007/08 KPAC Tier 2 Championships. The school also offers basketball volleyball, badminton, soccer and floor hockey.
Won KPAC championship in golf (2009). Competed in provincial championships and placed 4th.
4th at the (2010) KPAC championship, Peter Takis finishing first in individual stroke play (77).

Music

The TCI music program is run by Mr. Dan Steinhilber and Mrs. Kathryn Amato. The program consists of study in the fields of Jazz, Concert Band, Choir, and Vocal Jazz. For the past 2 years Transcona Collegiate has been involved with a the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra where Devon Gillingham (one of the Students of Transcona Collegiate) was rewarded with being the best student player of all the other students in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
