. It began broadcasting on 15 December 2001. On 15 December 2006, the official name became Trans 7 from TV 7 due to its half ownership by Trans Corp, a company that also owned Trans TV
. The motto is "Semakin Beragam Semakin Menarik" ("Increasingly Diverse, Increasingly Interesting").

By doing a re-launch on December 15, 2006, the date is set as the day of birth Trans7. Director of Trans7 now is Atiek Nur Wahyu.
