History

The railway began in 1894 as Toronto Suburban Street Railway, a merger of the City and Suburban Electric Railway Company and the Davenport Street Railway. In 1900 it changed its name to Toronto Suburban Railway (TSR). It was taken over by Canadian Northern Railway
