Harris attended Half Hollow Hills High School West and joined the varsity basketball team as an eight grader. He played at Half Hollow Hills High School West until transferring to Long Island Lutheran Middle and High School in Brookville, NY for his junior year. He then transferred back to Half Hollow Hills High School West in Dix Hills, NY for his senior year due to competition at (( Long Island Lutheran Middle and High School )) and was named 2010 Mr. New York Basketball.
