The APC (AP Choice) program is an advanced placement program for freshmen and sophomores. The APC program puts its students in classes with other APC students, and moves these classes at a faster pace then normal honors classes. It is intended to prepare the students for the AP courses that they will take in the future. The APC program also requires the enrollment in AP Human Geography freshmen year to give the students a taste of AP classes. At graduation, if the students that were in the APC program have taken at least 6 AP classes during their high school years, they receive a special sticker on their diploma that recognizes them as an AP scholar.

Band Program

The Timber Creek Regiment prides itself on commitment to excellence and determination, and has come through in numerous occasions, which include (but are not limited to) leading the Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom Parade in honor of Michael Phelps on August 29, 2008; playing in front of the Lincoln Memorial in March 2010; bringing both its Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble to the Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA) State Concert Music Performance Assessment (MPA) (the first time since the school opened that Symphonic Band has gone to states -- receiving straight "2" marks]) in April 2010; and received straight "Superior" Marching MPA marks every year since the school opened for the 2001-2002 school year.

On November 15, 2003, in only their third year of existence (and at their first appearance at the Florida Marching Band Coalition (FMBC) Championships), the Timber Creek Regiment was crowned FMBC Overall Grand Champion at the FMBC State Finals, the first band other than Cypress Creek High School (Orlando FL) recognized as "State Champions".

The Regiment also had an undefeated 2009 season with their show Within. The Regiment has won numerous awards under the direction of Rhett Cox, Clif Walker (2001-2008) and Devin C. Hoey (2006-Present), such as best brass, best woodwinds, best colorguard, best effect, etc. Other show titles include: Braveheart (2001), Tragedy and Triumph (2002), Speed (2003; FMBC Overall Grand Champions) Revolution (2004), The Last Gangster (2005, also known as TCR v5.0), The Rock Project (2006, a.k.a. TCR v6.0), Chaos Theory: The Rock Project Part II (2007; received 4th place in BOA St. Pete and 10th place in BOA Atlanta), 4Bidden (2008; lost the title of State Champions by .04 points) and Within (2009; undefeated season, did not attend FMBC Championships). The Timber Creek Regiment's 2010 field show is entitled X: The Journey ("X" being the Roman Numeral and pronounced as "ten" -- for the Regiment's tenth year). X: The Journey consists of ten musical selections, each of which represents one year in the history of Timber Creek High School.

On November 20, 2010, the Timber Creek Regiment's performance of X: The Journey garnered them recognition as Class 5A Champions at the 2010 FMBC Championships, held at Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg FL (as of the 2005 marching season, FMBC no longer designates a "Grand Champion" at state finals).

Under the direction of Clif Walker, the percussion program of the Timber Creek bands began competing as an indoor scholastic marching percussion ensemble in 2006, as a member of the Florida Federation of Color Guard Circuits (FFCC), with their show The Way Up, based on the album of the same name by The Pat Metheny Group. At the 2006 FFCC Championships, Timber Creek High School were silver medalists in Scholastic Marching Percussion Class A (PSA). In 2007, the indoor percussion ensemble premiered an avant-garde early-season repertoire (which became a YouTube sensation), and once again competed in FFCC events with another Metheny-inspired production Continue (Being) based on "Minuano (Six Eight)", as well as the 2007 Winter Guard International (WGI) Nashville Percussion Regional. At the Nashville show, Timber Creek's WGI debut, they took first place in PSA preliminary competition with the highest score in the nation, a 96.5 and then were promoted to Scholastic Marching Percussion Open Class (PSO) for finals competition the next day. In the finals competition -- their first Open Class show -- Timber Creek topped the other Open Class units as PSO Gold Medalists. At the 2007 FFCC Championships, Timber Creek took the gold medal as PSO Champions (legend has it that had Timber Creek competed at WGI World Championships in 2007, the line would have been promoted to Scholastic Marching Percussion World Class [PSW]). For the 2008 indoor percussion season, the ensemble faced the challenge of exploring the creative and educational possibilities as an independent ensemble as a logical next step. Returning to "The Way Up" as the inspiration for the 2008 show, the newly-christened Timber Creek Independent (TCI) began competing at FFCC events in Independent Marching Percussion Class A (PIA), as well as two WGI regional events, with a marching battery (snares, tenor drums, bass drums) consisting mostly of Timber Creek High School percussionists (with two TCHS graduates on snare and tenors). At the 2008 WGI Orlando Percussion Regional, TCI took first place in PIA preliminary competition, then were promoted to Independent Marching Percussion Open Class (PIO) for the finals competition later that same day. In Open Class finals, TCI bested all comers (including STRYKE Percussion ensemble and Brahma from the University of South Florida) once again Gold Medalists in their first Open Class competition as an independent unit. At the 2008 WGI Nashville Percussion Regional, TCI took first place in both PIO preliminary and finals competition, and were promoted to Independent Marching Percussion World Class (PIW) for both the 2008 FFCC Championships and WGI Championships in Dayton OH. At the FFCC Championships, held April 4, 2008 at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee FL, TCI competed for the first time in PIW against INFINITY Percussion (the 2006 PIO World Champions as "The 1st Degree" and the first Independent World Class percussion ensemble in the state of Florida). TCI continued their winning ways, besting Infinity by 0.4 points and triumphing in their first PIW contest as 2008 FFCC Gold Medalists. TCI then traveled to Dayton OH and made WGI World Class Finals, finishing 15th in the world in their first year of existence as an Independent percussion ensemble.
