It is notable that he once worked for Converse Shoes, which explains its inclusion in many of the original Goosebumps book covers, such as Monster Blood III (Evan's giant Converses are shown stomping through a playground), The Ghost Next Door (a ghostly pair of Converse sneakers can be seen outside the open door), The Haunted School (a pair of grayscale Converses are in the mess of papers spilling out of the locker), and Ghost Camp (one of the invisible campers is wearing Converse sneakers).
