During its limited release, The List visited the following cities:
A further releasing campaign was planned for 2008 with intent to spread outside of the South, however, due to the success of the initial campaign 20th Century Fox became interested in releasing the film onto DVD nationwide. A release date was soon set as June 10, 2008.

Plot
Renny Jacobson is shaken by the news of his father's mysterious death and mystified by the reference in his will to an obscure entity called "The Covenant List of South Carolina, Ltd." The List was released theatrically in 2007 through select states in the South including North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia. The film would visit a select city for a few weeks beginning in Charlotte on August 12, 2007.During its limited release, The List visited the following cities:
