The Killian Curse

The Killian Curse is a 7 part New Zealand kidult horror-fantasy
television show, directed by Thomas Robins
and Wayne Vinton, and starring Nick Blake, which tells the 21 stories of the students from Room 21, who must each face an evil curse placed on them by the sinister Charles Killian. Killian wanted to get revenge on the people who caused his death shortly after founding the school in 1906. He needs to capture 11 souls to rise from the dead.
The original students of Room 21 are caught doing satanic ritual led by Killian. His parents banished him, but a fire broke out during a struggle which eventually burned the interior of the classroom, killing Killian in the process. Before dying, he swore to get revenge by stealing the 11 souls needed to return from the dead. Killian also said that parents would be blind to the suffering of their children. It is only the other classmates of Room 21 who can see what is happening. One of the kids from present day Room 21 (and narrator of the events of 1906) happens to be the great, great grandson of the man directly responsible for Killian's death. The great, great grandfather and the others in the room at the time of Killian's death are presumed to be ancestors of the current kids in room 21. Shortly after, the room is sealed "forever", forever lasting until 2006.
2006 Room 21 Students
After 100 years, Room 21 is unsealed by a principal who doesn't believe in curses and it is up to the school janitor to tell the students about the curse. Some are skeptical until the first victim is taken.
2009 (in the show it's 2007) Room 21 Students
It's been a year and the last year students of Room 21 still got called out into the Room 21 Class. They all got their souls back but some were repossessed. Those students are stuck in Killian's World/Lair. On Earth they're zombies but to adults they are just normal.
Celia (Georgia Tabish) - a nerdy blonde girl who was being followed by a body possessing demon
. She defeated it by trapping it within the body of her pet cockroach then crushing it.
Johnny (Thomas Williams) - a fat boy on a diet, he was taken to hospital by an ambulance which turns out to be a warlock
who wants his fat, the warlock was killed when Johnny stabs him with a fat injecting needle.
hid in the school's pipe system, she followed it to the old swimming pool. She unplugged the drain in an attempt to defeat it but was taken. She was eventually returned.
Lucy (Liffey Jacobson-Wright) - a snobbish blonde girl who had a poltergeist
in her phone. It tried to "download" her soul but she smashed it up.
Owen (James Croft) - a boy who is always late to class and does not pay attention to school lessons, his curse was a werewolf
who claimed his soul but eventually it was returned.
Charlotte (Grace McDonald) - when Charlotte goes over the fence of property of an old house to collect her necklace that was thrown over by a bully, a cat took it inside the house. Despite warnings from Jen and Celia, Charlotte went after it. Her soul was soon taken by a witch but was later returned.
Katie (Beth Chote) - a goth who went to her uncle's place during the weekend with her father and brother, she was attacked by a demon called Haki
who can enter every nook and cranny. Her soul was taken but was later returned.
Emma - a friend of Karen and Lucy, was attacked by a devil
in class. The devil chased her, Karen and Lucy to the school canteen, where Emma defeated it by trapping it in the big frezzer.

Te Aroha"TP" (Greer L. Samuel) - a talented sports player whose skills were taken and she was forced to compete against a demon in a basketball game. sShe defeated the demon in his own game.
Karl (Sharn Te Pou) - boy that once doubted that there is a way to defeat the curse, but with the help of Jack defeated a wendigo

Shane (Riley Brophy) - On a school field trip Shane is attacked by a mummy
. Shane tried to defeat it by removing its bandages but it was still invisible on the inside. Shane's soul was taken and eventually returned.
Jen (Felicity Milovanovich) - Jen was attacked by a shadow demon that could manipulate the real world by moving objects' shadows. It managed to claim Jen's soul just before being destroyed by a T-Rex doll. She was eventually returned.

Keith (James Shaw) - a bully who was turned nice when his future self
came to get his soul, he called Keith hopeless, but he went on to prove his future self wrong.
Haley (Zoe Robins) - a girl who was so concerned in helping others that she did not look after herself when a vampire
attacked her in the blood bus. She was defeated, but eventually returned.
zoey - a girl who had a crush on byron,her curse is a demon jellfish who blackouts the school she confronts it in the school pool but the demon drowns her and takes her soul but she eventually returned.
Tabetha (Ivana Palezevic) - A girl who dreams of being a director and decided to make a school play about the curse. Killian summoned the ghost of the ex-drama teacher so he could get her soul but decided to take part in the play first. During the play Tabitha set up an exorcism and banished the ghost back to the spirit realm.
Jack (Cameron Wakefield) - the great-great-grandson of the man who Killian swore to get revenge upon, his soul was taken by Killian, but he was returned with the others taken the surviving students realised that the curse could be undone by smashing a gravestone which bore the names of the students Killian had taken.
After the defeat of Killian, the students leave the school triumphant and ready to tackle another year at Killian High.
Celia and Jack - she attemps to defeat the giant moth demon by getting all the kids in room 21 to attack it but someone turns on the torch and the moth takes celia's soul then the moth takes jack's soul later on billie comes holding a flashlight and everyone things that billie turned the flashlight on.
Emma- was attaked by a medusa
. She tries to defeat it but the demon turns her into stone. Karen and Will break her free. She defeats it by showing her demon it's reflection in her makeup mirror.
Shane - His curse is a computer virus that effected him in the form of living mucus
while he was home sick. He defeats it after he clicks 'Destroy virus' on his computer.
Karen - Her curse is a hand curse that forced her to do bad things, like hitting other students. She defeats it by pulling it off with a wood vice and dropping it into a box of charity toys.
Elizabeth - Her Curse was a kendo
video game. Her and Karl attempted to play and Karl is quickly knocked unconscious, she defeated the oni that was sent after her. At the end the traitor attempts to try and take her soul but fails and retreats.
Te Aroha - Her Curse was when she went back in time into the past years of Killian High. She met a spirit
that warned her about three 19th-century bullies that Killian had sent. The bullies chased her onto a train where Killian was waiting to take her soul.
In this episode we get a small look at where claimed souls end up.
Will- He brought back the voodoo doll from his last curse because he didn't believe it was safe with the traitor around and knew it still worked. The traitor took the doll, and pulled Will's legs and arm off and put in the school furnace. Karen managed to save the doll and helped Will disable the curse on the doll.
David - His curse was on Killian's Island (parody to Survivor
). He got voted out after he was suspected of being the traitor and his soul was taken.
Haley BloomsFeild- Her curse was a wizard
curse the wizard attaked her and tried to take her soul but she defeated it by putting a spell on it with the help of summer.
Karl-His demon was a Giant rabbit and an evil magician that attacked him in a magic act. He was taken.
Charlotte - her curse is when her china dolls
come to life. She tries to beat them by smashing them but they shrink her and take her soul
Tabitha - Her Curse was when she got sucked into a movie by Killian and had to fight her way past a Hookman themed demon in a stereotypical horror movie plot.
Katie & Keith - Her curse was when she draws a demon taking Keith's soul. The next day it comes true and her classmates get suspicious. When a 2-D comic demon started attacking her and gives the headmaster a heart attack, she realises she can control the demon by drawing in her book. She shrinks the demon and burns it in a wastepaper basket.
zoey - her curse was a disapering demon the demon hides in her body she starts diasapering from the real world into the world where lost soul's are killian traps her and takes her soul but since she was in world of lost soul's she got her soul back from killian and escaped from the other world and defeated her curse.
Then everyone who's soul was never taken went through the portal to Killian's world. After that Killian locked them with a Latin Spell and try to take their souls instead of the others, who had escaped, but eventually he disappeared when a giant rabbit (from Karl's Curse) pulled him down when he was rising to go to earth and fought him.
After they all looked up at the portal as it closed. They were stuck in Killian's World. And fade to Credits.
In the final episode the Traitor was revealed to be Jen, although she was possessed by a Demon (that possessed her on the first episode) who would take her soul for keeps instead of Killian having it.
In the end when they defeated Killian with Karl's curse, the rabbit, the whole of Room 21 was stuck in Killian's lair even though he was dead. It still looked as if they had their souls taken out as they couldn't get out as the portal closed. It looks like Room 21 will never get out.
It is possible there will be a third series but if so will have to start from where series 2 finished.
The DVD differs from the broadcast version, due to the fact it is shown in 16:9 widescreen whereas free-to-air New Zealand television (as well as some of the pay TV channels) still broadcast in standard 4:3 format.

Billie- Bille was the last student to have to face her demon. Her demon was a reflection demon that effected the real world. She confronted it in a school bathroom and it tried to take her soul. The Traitor
In the new year at Killian high Killian warned Room 21 students that there was traitor among them. Since there was a new girl Billie, everyone thought it was her. Afterwards the Traitor shone a torch in Celia's eyes, took Will's Voodoo doll, tripped David over as he was running away from demons, tried to stop Elizabeth, ties up Miles, pushes Johnny off the desk when he shrunk, tells Te Aroha to go to the train station, takes off a chain to put Owen through a crematorium , locks the door of the bathroom and pushes Billie in through the mirror and breaks Emma's mirror.In the final episode the Traitor was revealed to be Jen, although she was possessed by a Demon (that possessed her on the first episode) who would take her soul for keeps instead of Killian having it.
In the end when they defeated Killian with Karl's curse, the rabbit, the whole of Room 21 was stuck in Killian's lair even though he was dead. It still looked as if they had their souls taken out as they couldn't get out as the portal closed. It looks like Room 21 will never get out.

DVD release
The DVD release of the Killian Curse was due to have been released around a week after the final episode went to air, but was delayed for unknown reasons.
