History

The Great Pumpkin Coaster opened in the year 1972 as Scooby Zoom to fit the theme of the children's area which at the time was

known as Nickelodeon Universe. This makeover included complete rethemeing
of all the Hanna-Barbera rides to fit the Nickelodeon theme. That is when
the ride became known as Little Bill's Giggle Coaster. Although Cedar Fair Entertainment Co. had the rights to continue using the Nickelodeon theme through 2016 following its purchase of the park in 2006, it was decided to remove all remaining Hanna-Barbera and Nickelodeon themes from the kids area in time for the start of the 2010 season. So in
2010, the area went through a another rethemeing to fit with other
Cedar Fair's kid's areas. Nickelodeon
Universe then became known as Planet Snoopy

Layout

After riders leave the station, the coaster climbs up the 8 ft (2.4 m) lift hill

. The riders then experience a 8 ft (2.4 m) right-downward banking turn. A small hill follows after the hill. Then, a right u-turn with a series of airtime hills complete the circuit. When riders enter the station, they go through the coaster once more, making the Great Pumpkin Coaster have a ride time of 52 seconds.

Design

As riders approach the coaster, a background wall is shown with a pumpkin-themed scene. The coaster has a purple track with purple supports and a train with yellow cars. With 1 train and 6 cars and 2 people per car, the coaster accommodates 1-12 people per run
