History

The Fix was formed in March 1980 by band members Steve Miller (vocals), Craig Calvert (guitar), Mike Achtenberg (bass), and Jeff Wellman (drums). In 1981, the Fix released a single, Vengeance b/w In This Town, with just 200 pressed and issued on Touch and Go Records. In January 1982, a 7 inch EP, "Jan's Rooms," also on Touch and Go, was released. After the band's breakup in early 1982, Miller and Achtenberg formed Blight

The first single has fetched up to $3,500 on eBay and is among the rarest punk rock records in existence.

Following their break up, Wellman moved back to Northern Michigan and became a real estate agent in Boyne City. Calvert played with other bands and is now in a Chicago-based blues outfit. Miller is a writer based in Lansing. He was the editor of Touch and Go: The Complete Hardcore Punk Zine '79-'83.
